Interim NPI Projectmanager

Job description

As a Interim NPI Project Lead you will be part of our team industrialization. Within this team you will be responsible for the design of the production process for new products and changes to existing products. You foresee risks that may occur during volume production and trying to mitigate these risks. You will contribute to optimum industrialization, which meets the requirements of external and internal customers.

How do you add value?

You will work closely with the customer. You will act as a technical interface between production and customer industrialization projects. You are also responsible for the supervision of the production process and have the objective of directing the lean as possible. To achieve this you will be responsible for the validation of production processes, including the training of staff directly involved in order to achieve the best results with your team.


  • You will receive data packets from the product design, drawings and parts lists, and you check it on usability.
  • You make sure that you understand the requirements and needs for industrialization.
  • You make an estimate of the work required for the tender.
  • Where possible, take part in DFMEA where you identify potential risks in the creative process.
  • You initiate DfX analyzes (Design for Assembly, Design for Manufacturing, Design for Test) to be fed back to the product design.
  • You make proposals for the 'make or buy' decision of products.
  • You make a concept creative process' value stream map "and then brings the potential failure modes in card (PFMEA).
  • Where this is necessary, you optimize the design of the production process by adding tools and poka-yoke solutions.
  • You make a control plan for risks that cannot be mitigated.
  • You regulate the production in the benefit of traceability and process assurance.
  • You make a training plan for operators.
  • You provide work instructions for the various process steps.
  • You create a maintenance plan for the means of production.
  • You are responsible for the documentation of the process design.
  • You are responsible for the release of the process design.

Job requirements

  • You're available within 2 months for a challenging assignment for at least a few months.
  • With a university degree, preferably in the field of Industrial Engineering and Management. 
  • With at least 3 - 5 years of demonstrable project management skills in complex (technical) projects. 
  • With knowledge of Lean Manufacturing (Green/Black Belt). He can think from the Manufacturing organization and affinity with Development. 
  • With experience with MRP and ERP. He or she can set priorities and put the customer first. 
  • Who is able to implement changes and show ownership in it. 
  • With entrepreneurial mindset. 
  • Who is stress resistant, analytical, solution and result oriented and has good communication skills;
