Calibration Technician

Job description


As a Calibration Technician, you will work within the internal calibration department. Work includes maintaining records of all instruments and tools being calibrated, setting up calibration protocols and scheduling and performing calibrations. In addition, the calibration service performs a number of other (safety) inspections in production.

Within Benchmark we have had a strong calibration process for many years, in which the necessary calibrations are performed adequately and in a timely manner. You would like to contribute to the maintenance and further development of this process. You will contribute to the execution of the necessary calibrations, but based on your knowledge of calibration procedures, you will also advise on the content aspects of the calibration, such as the measurement range to be calibrated and the intervals between calibrations.


How you add value

  • Your primary responsibility is to ensure accurate follow-up of scheduled calibrations.
  • You help colleagues to make choices about calibration ranges and intervals.
  • You work on continuous improvement of the calibration process, by carrying out certain calibrations internally, or deliberately outsourcing them to external calibration services. But also by finding smarter ways of working or registration.


You have the following tasks

  • You will manage the registration of all instruments and tools being calibrated in the MetTeam calibration system. MetTeam is a calibration software package used for the registration, planning and execution of calibrations.
  • You advise the owners on the range and intervals of calibrations.
  • You manage the planning of calibrations.
  • You coordinate the calibration planning with the owners of the instruments and tools.
  • You coordinate with external calibration services and arrange for shipping of the instruments and tools.
  • You perform calibrations of the instruments and tools that can be calibrated internally.
  • Finally, you have responsibility to report into the quality system if calibrations have expired or calibrations are out of tolerance.

Job requirements

We are looking for you when

  • You have a completed mbo/hbo education in the direction of Electrical Engineering.
  • You work accurately and ensure that your calibration books are balanced.
  • You also have experience with the calibration of test and measurement instruments.
  • You have experience in reading and applying calibration and test standards.
  • You have a good command of the Dutch and English language, both verbally and in writing.
  • Finally, you have good communication skills and are able to coordinate with various colleagues about calibration standards and the impact of deviations found.
