As Program Manager Industrial at Benchmark Electronics you are "CEO of your own business" within our Operations department and you do what is necessary for your customers with respect for yourself, the organization and the customers. This consists of realizing development and new product introduction projects to the full satisfaction of the customer and internal organization, maintaining the relationship with the client (s) and bringing in new business.

With your knowledge and experience of product development and production, you take a responsible role in the project management team. You continuously strive to improve results in the field of customer satisfaction and profitable results. You are technically, financially and commercially responsible for the implementation of one or more multidisciplinary projects from idea to production and if necessary you can also intervene in current projects. In addition, as a Sr. Program Manager the leading discussion partner for the customer, the manager of the team and the sparring partner of the MT.

You have the following tasks

  • Responsible for the complete management of customer (s) program within operations.
  • Assembles multidisciplinary project teams for the purpose of the program, directs them and supports the project members, including defining tasks, responsibilities and authorities within the program.
  • You strive to improve the result in terms of customer satisfaction and profitability.
  • Identifies new business opportunities, generates scope extensions and new assignments.
  • In consultation with management, leads the preparation, negotiation and drafting of contracts with customers, subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Identifies customer needs in the longer term and drives changes in the own organization where necessary to continue to serve the customer optimally.

Job requirements

We are looking for

  • Master's degree in the direction of Industrial Engineering, Operations Management.
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience as a program manager within Operations / EMS
  • Experience in a multidisciplinary environment, preferably set up for serial production.
  • Experience in an (international) working environment with Contract Manufacturing, with New Product Introductions and with (international) customers.
  • Management and negotiation skills, reporting and communication techniques
  • Financial knowledge and strong analytical skills.
  • An entrepreneurial, decisive, proactive and result-oriented mindset.
