We are looking for a System Architect Medical who will play a key role in projects for our medical customers. You are at the forefront of product development and emerging technologies. Together with the engineering team, you make critical decisions that ensure projects are successfully delivered in a controlled, compliant, and customer-focused manner.

What will you do?

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Working closely with our Business Developers to acquire new customers and projects, while inspiring customers during technical workshops through innovative solutions.

  • Providing technical input for project proposals, including requirements related to standards and product certification, concept designs, development efforts, and cost estimates.

  • Taking overall technical responsibility for projects following customer approval. You define detailed functional specifications and establish guidelines regarding standards and certification requirements.

  • Defining the system architecture, decomposing systems into subsystems, and developing verification and qualification strategies.

  • Collaborating with engineers throughout the development phase on detailed specifications, planning, design, implementation, and verification of subsystems.

  • Leading the integration, verification, and qualification of complete systems and ensuring delivery of a comprehensive design documentation package.

  • Successfully transferring products to the customer, manufacturing site, and, where applicable, maintenance or support organizations.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a technically driven professional who combines strong system-level thinking with leadership and communication skills.

Additionally, we are looking for:

  • A completed Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in systems engineering and medical product development.

  • Experience with requirements management and relevant tools.

  • Preferably knowledge of European and U.S. medical standards and regulations, including ISO 13485, IEC 60601, and FDA 21 CFR.

  • Strong communication skills and experience creating technical documentation in English.
