Industrial Automation Test Lead Engineer

As an Industrial Automation Test Lead Engineer at Benchmark you will be part of a multi-disciplinary engineering team with focus on writing C# test scripts for high-tech industrial products. As lead engineer you will be challenged to setup a team of software engineers from scratch and let it grow to around 10 engineers over time. You will be working in an international environment with plenty of opportunities for your personal development

Your tasks

• You will be the primary contact with the customer regarding the product test requirements.
• You will be responsible for the technical progress of the software testing team in your project(s).
• As part of a Scrum engineering team you will be responsible for the porting (C-code to C#-code), design, implementation and verification of Test Software for a complex industrial system.
• You will report the technical progress to the Benchmark program manager.
• You will work in close cooperation with other software engineers and other disciplines.
• Main part of the work will be performed at Benchmark in Almelo.
• When required support at the customer site in Germany is needed.

We are looking for a colleague with a minimum of 5 years of experience

• A completed BSc/MSc education in the field of Computer Science or related.
• Leading a team of software (test) engineers.
• Experience with modern Software Engineering techniques and tooling.
• Experience with software development in C#.
• Experience in creating Design- and Test- documentation.
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English.

You have at least basic knowledge of

• Industrial test equipment.
