    • Almelo, Overijssel, Netherlands
  • €3,823 per month
  • Design Engineering

Job description

As a (junior) Electrical Engineer at Benchmark, you will have the opportunity to develop yourself within the field of Electrical Engineering. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team in an international environment. You will start by working on existing products, enabling you to quickly become familiar with our working methods, tools, and the various departments we collaborate with.

As an Electrical Engineer in our Services & Sustaining Engineering Team within the Design Engineering Department, you will be involved in analyzing issues in existing products. You will also work on customer-requested modifications and improvements aimed at optimizing production processes, such as introducing alternative components. Your role is to ensure that products remain available, manufacturable, and deliverable.

Your responsibilities

  • Investigate technical issues in existing electronic products and implement design modifications in consultation with senior designers. This role provides a practical, hands-on learning environment.

  • Perform validation and release testing of design changes and document the results in English technical reports.

  • Work closely with the Team Coordinator on daily planning and project execution. The coordinator serves as the primary customer contact.

  • Support the Operations department, when required, in improving products and manufacturing processes.

  • Participate in Quality Improvement Teams (QITs), collaborating with Operations to identify and implement continuous improvements.

Within this team, you will gain extensive knowledge of the company’s systems, processes, and tools while working closely with various departments. Over time, you may also have the opportunity to transition into one of our customer-focused design teams, where you can contribute to the development of entirely new electronic products.

In addition, we offer:

  • Competitive salary: starting from €3,823 gross per month based on a full-time position.

  • Quarterly bonus: performance-based and linked to company revenue, with a maximum of 5% of your quarterly salary.

  • Excellent vacation package: 40 days off per year (27 vacation days plus 13 ADV/reduction-of-working-hours days).

  • Professional development opportunities: access to a wide range of training programs through the Benchmark Academy and support for external education aligned with your goals and our business needs.

  • Preferably some experience with CAD tools for schematic design and PCB layout.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, particularly for technical reporting.

  • Interest in related disciplines such as mechanics, software, manufacturing, test engineering, and manufacturing engineering.
