As an Embedded Software Engineer at Benchmark, you are part of a multidisciplinary team in an international environment. Within this team you are responsible for designing, implementing and verifying the Embedded Software in high-tech products.

You work in a project team environment, think about solutions on a system level and you have an important executive role in the detailed design, realization and verification of the Embedded Software. You can add extra value with your knowledge in the application areas of the Benchmark customers: medical, industrial and aerospace.

You want to get more out of the current projects commercially and you like to question the customer and explore more possibilities with them;
You have the drive and courage to explore with the customers what Benchmark could do more in the field of Embedded Software;
You have the capabilities to fulfill a technical lead-role in projects;
Finally, you have good oral and written communication techniques for technical product documentation, knowledge gathering, information transfer and instruction.
You have the following tasks
You are responsible for design, simulation, implementation and verification of Embedded Software, working closely with other disciplines such as mechanical and electronics;
You support Business Development and visit customers for technical discussions and workshops;
You communicate technical progress to the Projectleader;
You will manage one or more Junior Software Engineers.
We are looking for a new colleague
With a completed college or university degree in the field of IT or Electrical Engineering or related;
Who has at least 5 years of experience as an Embedded Software Engineer;
With experience in the programming languages C and C++;
With experience with Real Time Operating Systems (RTOS);
With experience with Embedded Linux and QT is a plus;
With experience in creating Requirement, Software Architecture, Design and Test documentation;
With good basic knowledge in the field of Electrical Engineering (such as SoC and microcontroller solutions).
