Embedded Software Engineer

As an Embedded Linux Software Engineer at Benchmark you will be part of a multi-disciplinary engineering team with focus on embedded software development in high-tech products. You will be working in an international environment with plenty of opportunities for your personal development.

Your tasks

•         As part of a multi-disciplinary team you will work on the design, implementation and testing of the embedded software in a variety of high-tech products.

•         Your main focus will be on:

o   Selection and configuration of an Embedded Linux kernel (Yocto)

o   Configuration of a Board Support Package (BSP)

o   Selection and customization of required Linux services

o   Design, implementation and testing of customer specific applications

•         You will be the technical interface with the customer.

•         You will report your plans and progress to the Program Manager.

•         You will work in close cooperation with other disciplines such as mechanics and electronics.

We are looking for a new colleague with

•         A completed BSc/MSc education in the field of Computer Science or related.

•         Experience with modern Software Engineering techniques and tooling.

•         Experience in Embedded Linux development (Yocto) is a pre.

•         Low level kernel and bootloader development is a pre.

•         Microcontroller experience is a pre.

•         Qt (QML) is a pre.

•         Experience with software development in C/C++, QT/QML and Scripting.

•         Experience in creating Requirement-, Software Architecture-, Design- and Test- documentation.

•         Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English.

You have at least basic knowledge of

•         Electrical Engineering (understanding schematics).
